PEEK Application in Ultra-Fine Cables

As part of our continuous pursuit of material innovation, Hotten Electronic Wire Technology (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. has successfully introduced PEEK (Polyether Ether Ketone) into the production of ultra-fine electronic cables for the first time.

Traditionally, PEEK has been widely used in the field of engineering plastics due to its outstanding mechanical and thermal properties. However, its application in micro-diameter cable insulation and sheathing has been extremely limited. Our successful implementation marks a significant technological breakthrough in the development of high-performance wire materials.

Compared with conventional fluoropolymer materials such as PFA and FEP, PEEK offers remarkable advantages:

  • Higher mechanical strength and wear resistance

  • Superior thermal and chemical stability

  • Excellent flexibility with enhanced structural stability

Through extensive testing and process optimization, Hotten has developed multiple PEEK wire specifications — including ultra-fine sizes such as 37 AWG — now available in various colors such as black, white, blue, and gray. It laid the foundation for the subsequent expansion into the fields of medical care, industry and high-precision connections.
